Snowy Saturday

Me and Banjo bugged mom all morning to let us go outdoors. Finally she opened the backdoor and I bolted out with baby brother right behind me. I only made it a short ways cause then I noticed it was COLD and the ground was covered in that stuff that makes my feet freeze. I quickly turned around and came back to the door to be let in.

So I have spent the morning playing tug and bitey face with Banjo and trying to get mom to throw the ball for me.

While she was in the shower we got crazy again and ripped Red Dog's eyes off and pulled some of his fluffy stuff out.

Mom was not very happy with the mess we made in the kitchen or that Red Dog needed emergency surgery.

I've Been Tagged!

My pal Lola thought I needed some more excitement in my life so she "tagged" me. These are the instructions I was given:

"When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog”. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!"

Mom did some research on the internet and discovered this "nifty icon" goes with the "Honest Weblog Award". I'm not sure what this all means but mom said she would take care of it. Thanks mom!

1. I dislike having people I don't know touch me. I'm not sure when this started. Mom says I have always been a 'snob'. She wanted me to be well socialized so she took me around to different places and I met lots of people when I was just a pup. But for some reason it didn't work cause I duck away when strangers reach out to pet me, especially if they try to pat me on the head. Give me a little time to get to know you first, then I soon want to be in your lap.

2. I carry my treats around and search for a place to "bury" them. Five minutes later, I'm digging them up and eating them. I am a piggy too... I quickly eat my treat then go after Banjo's. Hey, you snooze you lose!

3. I am a bully-stick addict. I must have my daily fix or I'm not fit to live with.

4. All the toys belong to me. I only let Banjo play with the ones I'm bored with.

5. I hate the dog that lives across the alley. The dirty old furball yells mean things at me and Banjo when we are out in the yard playing.

6. I love riding in the truck. Mom bought me my own car seat when I was a pup so I could sit up high and see out the window. Only bad things are... I have to sit in the back seat and I now have to share my seat with Banjo. And of course we have to ride in the travel crate when we go on trips out of town.

7. I am a sleepy head. Mom has to wake me up in the mornings or I would sleep til noon. Don't think I'm lazy though. I like to do things and go places as much as any other dog. It's just when I'm all snuggled up in bed where it is nice and warm, I could sleep and sleep and sleep.

8. I love eating rabbit poo. It's one of my favorite things to do when I go outdoors.

9. I hate being cold more than I dislike wearing clothes.

10. I ignore the birds living in my house, but chase the ones outside.

I'm tagging...

Wow that was very tiring. I think I need a nap after all that work.

Three Minute Peek

Mom just discovered the video feature on her junky camera actually works fairly well. I guess she thought it was not worth trying before today cause the camera has a mind of its own and does some funky things at times. Anyway, she was messing around with it yesterday afternoon and filmed some short clips of me and Banjo. This is the best of the bunch...

Sometimes I can't make up my mind if I want to play fetch or tug-o-war. This was one of those times. Mom refuses to play tug with the tennis ball though.

Listen closely and you can hear the birds chirping in the background. I hope you enjoyed viewing this little peek into my exciting life.

New Sweater For Me

I
always watch from the window when Mom goes out to get the mail. Today was different cause instead of coming in and throwing the mail in the trash, mom was excited about what had been delivered. It was something she ordered on e-bay. A pretty sweater for her baby girl. I don't mind wearing clothes cause it usually means I get to go bye-bye or at least outdoors. But this time mom just wanted me to try the sweater on to see if it fit. It fits perfectly. And I think I look dang good in it to! And the bestest thing? The sweater only cost $5.84 and that included shipping!

Of course mom had to get out the camera and take some pictures. After she was done with that, we ate lunch and then we went on a walk so I could show off my new sweater!

Banjo & The Taco Bell Dog

A friend of ours gave us this little stuffed dog the other day. Mom brought it home and showed it to me and Banjo. The crazy thing can talk like people!! It says, "Here lizard lizard lizard." Now I have no idea why it would be calling a lizard, but Banjo thinks the thing is real! He was afraid of it til mom showed him it was a toy.

We have given him the name Cesar, after our favorite dog whisperer. I think he and Banjo are going to be good friends cause now baby brother has someone he can beat up on.

Baby brother just had to show the little taco bandit who was the boss!

Banjo won the battle with Cesar but there were no hard feelings and they play together all the time.

Cesar now looks up to Banjo as the big brother he never had.

Super Saturday

We went shopping yesterday. Mom even brought the camera along but it began acting up as it sometimes does and all the pictures she took of us were not worth keeping. Mom was very sad when she saw how the pictures looked. I think maybe she needs to get a new camera. Anyway, we stopped at two of my favorite stores, Petco and UPCO. Mom bought us bully sticks at UPCO. And she got us some more treats, a toy and Banjo some shirts at Petco.

Here's a couple pictures of him wearing his new blue & yellow fleecie. Mom says it fits him perfectly and he looks very handsome. Yeah, whatever.

When we got home from our trip, me and Banjo wanted to play with our new toy, Red Dog. It works good for tug-o-war.

And if baby brother was bigger, playing tug would be more fun cause right now I beat him every time.

Then Banjo quits playing tug and pouts when he can't take the toy away from me.

Mom says I better watch what I wish for cause soon it might be a different story cause baby brother is still growing and one day he will be big enough to win some of our battles. Well maybe so, but I don't think the little rug rat will ever be as fast or as strong or as smart as me.

Before we went to bed, mom let me check my blog to see if anyone stopped by and left a msg for me while we were gone.

While I was blogging, Banjo was warming his feet and getting very sleepy eyed.

It was nice to get out and go somewhere yesterday. All of us were wore out last night, so we crawled into bed to watch a movie. Mom was the only one to stay awake to see the end cause me and Banjo were just too tired.

Restless Friday

As soon as mom got home for lunch today, Banjo and I went and sat by the backdoor. Warm or cold, we wanted to go outdoors and play. She finally gave in and took us outside.

It was sunny, but cool out. We quickly found some sticks and settled down to munch on them. I don't know why we like chewing on the sticks so much but I can spend lots of time doing it. Maybe I'm part woodchuck.

Banjo was wearing one of my old t-shirts that says, "I'm a Lover Not a Fighter". He has grown enough so it fits him better than the last time he wore it. One time he started rolling around in the grass. I think he was trying to get out of the shirt, but it didn't work.

When he couldn't get the shirt off, he started acting kinda silly. Sticking his butt up in the air asking me to chase him.

I was busy looking for rabbit poo, but I took a break from that and we ran the Rattie 500. We ran so fast that mom did not get any pictures that were not blurry. Hee hee.

After we ran around awhile, I went back to stick chewing and Banjo rested in the sunshine. He is a baby so needs a lot of naps.

Baby brother got very sleepy laying in the warm sun. Look real close and you can see some dried grass stuck to his nose!

Since little Banjo was napping, I got to chew on my sticks in peace!

The Good And The Bad

First the bad... Mom thought we were starting to smell so she gave me and Banjo a bath. I don't mind getting cleaned up I just don't like being cold. Mom knows this so she is nice and lays the electric blanket out on the couch so we can snuggle on the blanket and get warmed up again.

Banjo wanted to wrestle but I just wanted to lay on the warm
blanket and get my fur dry.

Mom didn't get the camera out while we were in the tub, thankfully! Cause I'm a shy girl and don't want any nekkid pictures of me on the internet.

Now the good. Mom gave us a new toy to play with. It's called a soccer ball. It is huge! I never played with a ball so big. Banjo was kinda scared of it at first. But after I picked it up and gave it the Rattie shake, he was ready to play.

Mom, thanks for the soccer ball. Me and Banjo love it!

Painted Pony Died

Me and Banjo killed Pony yesterday. We didn't mean to, we just got caught up in the moment and before I knew it, Pony had a hole in his side and Banjo was pulling out his fluffy stuff. I swear I didn't pull out any of Pony's fluffy stuff, that was baby brother's doing.

I couldn't believe Pony was really dead so had to check him out and make sure. Banjo was wondering if there was any thing left inside Pony that needed to come out. I was hoping mom could do surgery on him and fix him up cause this isn't the first time Pony got hurt. She said Pony was beyond repair and that the kind thing would be to put him out of his misery so he didn't hurt anymore.

Banjo was proud of what he'd done and was like, "Look what we did mom!" He didn't understand what we had done was a bad thing cause he is just a baby.

I tried to explain to him that mom was not happy with us, but he was so excited and kept running around grabbing pieces of Pony's fluffy stuff and wouldn't listen to me.

RIP poor Painted Pony. You will be missed.

The Kong

I have this toy that mom likes to torture me with every once in awhile. Instead of just giving my treats to me, she makes me work for them. I guess she thinks it's entertaining. Not sure if it's suppose to be for her amusement or mine.

Banjo doesn't yet know what The Kong is about. He thinks it is just another toy. He thought I was going to let him play with The Kong. No way, those treats are ALL mine!

She always stuffs the best treats in The Kong too. It's drives me crazy trying to get them out. I stick my tongue in there and try to scoop the tasty treat out, which rarely works.

I then have to resort to repeatedly dropping The Kong on the floor and hoping the treats fall out.
