Flower Friday

hollyhock

Mom is taking our truck to a nearby town to get a bed cover put on and then she is going shopping! We don't get to go cause the truck will be in the shop for almost an hour and there isn't anyplace for us to stay during that time. Mom promises to bring us something back though. I have asked for a new ball.

Moo Tubes & Bully Sticks!

The big brown van came yesterday and left a box for me and Banjo on the front porch. Mom brought it in and this is what happened...

Mom wanted me to let you know the moo tubes only smelled bad when the plastic bag was first opened. And if you don't keep them in an airtight container they won't stink at all. If you don't already know, moo tubes are beef trachea and are sometimes called “moo-tubes” or “windies”. You can get them hollow or with a filling. They come in various sizes, from 3" up to 12". We got the 3" ones. Moo tubes are high in both chondroitin and glucosamine, which are effective in promoting healthy joints in dogs. And unlike rawhide, moo tubes and bully sticks are completely digestible.

I carried my moo tube around for about 15 minutes before I settled down to chew on it. I ate it all gone in about an hour. Banjo stopped chewing on his after an hour or so, then mom put it up so I couldn't get it. I highly recommend these yummy treats to any dog that loves to chew!

Not A Wordless Wednesday

I am skipping Wordless Wednesday this week cause I have two things I want to post instead. First, Checkers, made this pawesome award for all his furiends.

Thanks furiend! We love your blog too!

~*~

We have been tagged by our furiends, Lexi and Cocorue for the Honest blog award. Please forgive me if I lost track of any other doggies who may have given me an award recently. I'm blaming it all on mom for being to busy and not writing it down for me.

I'm gonna let Banjo do this award this time since I did it before.

  1. If mom doesn't keep our litter box cleaned out, I will refuse to use it and poop on the laundry room floor.
  2. I am a very sensitive doggy. If mom raises her voice for any reason, I sneak off and hide.
  3. I love sleeping right next to mom's side. If she moves away, I follow her.
  4. I am a wiggle butt. I can't help myself. When mom comes home from work I am so happy to see her, I wiggle and wiggle and wiggle.
  5. Whenever I am in trouble, I smile real big and show mom my toofers. She isn't amused.
  6. My favorite snack is Pupperoni beefy treats.
  7. I love my big sister, Bijou.
  8. I greet every doggy and hooman I meet like they are my best furiend.
  9. I don't play with toys unless Bijou is. Then I try to take it away from her!
  10. I love it when mom cuddles with me, calls me Banjee Boy, then gives me smoochies.
I know the rules say you are suppose to give it to only seven blogging doggies, but I am going to give this award to any doggy that wants it.

Diggity Dawg Game - week 3

Wow-wee it's time for another round of Diggity Dawg!
For you doggies who haven't played this game before, here are the rules. I ask a question about something I've blogged about and you go look for the answer in one of my old posts. The first doggy to leave a comment with the right answer will have $20 donated in their name to the Richardson County Humane Society Inc. The money will be used to buy toys, treats or other things the homeless doggies might need.

Ready, set, go dig ! This week's question is...

Last winter we had a new Rattie furiend stay with us a short while. What was her name when she came to live with us and what name did mom give her?

Evening Walk

It's been two days since I got to make a post cause Mom has just been to busy with other things. The last two days have also been the hottest we have had so far this summer so we had to wait til the sun started to go down before we could go on our walkie. This was the first time Banjo has been out for a walk after dark and only the third or fourth for me. We are usually snuggled up in bed watching tv as soon as it starts to get dark!

Here we are leaving the house. "Let's go mom!"

Walking down the street cause the sidewalks are cracked and mom is afraid she will break an ankle.

We went past a house with three doggies in the yard. This little Min Pin wanted to play with us.

The bulldog mix was grouchy. Mom wouldn't let us get close to the fence cause the big dog growled and lunged at us.

This tiny Chihuahua came up to the fence to sniff us, but the big dog didn't like that so she made the little guy get back.

We stopped in the park on the way back home to listen to the night sounds.

But all we heard was a bunch of doggies barking. I think they were sad cause they were stuck in their pens and fenced yards but wanted to be out on a night walkie like us.

Diggity Dawg - week 2 winner

(At the last minute, mom realized she made two errors on this card. She corrected them before mailing it off. The new version is shown above.)

The winner of this week's game of Diggity Dawg, was our good Chihuahua furiends, Bentley and Lexus. Mom just finished making their card, so it will be dropped off at the post office in the morning.

CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS Bentley and Lexus!

Finally !

Mom came home for lunch and I waited patiently for her to eat, then I sat in the kitchen staring at her til she finally got the hint and brought out the Three Dog Bakery treats. I swear that woman is so slow sometimes!

Mom called Banjo to come get his share before she opened the package.

Then she stood there looking at the treats, mumbling something about peanut butter and carob. Whatever mom. Just give us the darn treats!

At long last, we followed mom into the living room and she gave us our treats.

"Nom-nom. All gone."

Fun At The Dog Park

Yesterday we went to the dog park in Omaha and met up with Cloud and his mom, Kat. It was a perfect day for playing in the park. Sunny, but not too hot, which was great cause the only shade was under the picnic tables! We arrived at exactly the same time as Cloud & Kat, even though our mom took a wrong turn and got a little lost. BOL

This picture was taken by Cloud's mom. Our mom didn't get one of all three of us.

"Hey mom, it's a good thing you brought along those little plastic bags!"
BOL

There was so much peemail everywhere, we didn't know where to start sniffing first.

Near the fence seemed to be a popular spot.

We must have spent the first 30 minutes just sniffing out all the peemail!

When we first got there, me and Banjo kept looking to make sure mom hadn't left us.

Then I went to check out all the terrific smells by myself.

While Banjo went off to make some new furiends.

As you can see, my little brother is a very furiendly doggy. He wanted to meet every dog and hooman at the park so he kept wandering far away from the rest of us and mom would have to call him back. She was worried a hooman would pick him up and take him home!

Just so you don't think I was unfuriendly with the other doggies, here's proof I made a few furiends too.

I think Cloud was having a terrific time!

Mom brought along some water from home, but they had this doggie water fountain there. Some nice hooman had put a plastic bowl in it to make it easier for us doggies to drink.

We spent about two hours or so at the park the first time. Then mom and Kat wanted to go eat at Chipotle. After "our" (we begged til mom shared with us BOL) lunch, they took us doggies to Three Dog Bakery.

Mom was being goofy and forgot to bring along her camera so she didn't get any pictures of us at Chipotle or the Bakery. Cloud's mom took the picture above of me and Banjo eating a sample treat. Mom took furever deciding which treats to buy us, but she finally made her choice and we left.

We walked around for awhile, then went back to the dog park and played some more. To soon mom was saying it was time we headed home. On the way to our truck, mom and Kat agreed we would have to meet at the park again sometime soon! Yip-Pee! Me and Banjo were so tired from our dog park adventure that we slept the whole two hour drive home.

Now back to those treats mom bought for me and Banjo yesterday. Can you believe we are still waiting for her to give them to us? Because she left us home today to go shopping, she is making us wait til tomorrow so she can take pictures. That's so not fair! When I want her to take pictures, she can't remember the camera. But when SHE wants pictures, the whole world has to stop til she can find the time. Meanwhile, I just WANT MY TREATS!!

Oh well, I will forgive her since she did take us to the park to meet Cloud and Kat and she does buy us stuff all the time. But she better give us those yummy looking treats tomorrow or I will have to bite her on the ankle!
