Toon Tuesday

Hello furiends. Mom finally found time to help me post my funnies. She has been very busy the last few days working on the house, trying to get some things done outside before it starts raining again. Bijou will do her usual post tomorrow for Wordless Wednesday but that might be the only one she makes for awhile cause mom has a very long 'to-do list'.

No More Bang Bang !

OMD I thought mom was never gonna find time to help me with my blog! But the roofer men FINALLY got the new roof on today so maybe life will get back to normal around our house. Mom says the new rain gutters will be put up on Tuesday, but the noise and mess is mostly done for now. The house will either get new siding or be painted in a few weeks, mom still has to decide which it'll be. She will post a picture of the house after its makeover.

Here are some pictures mom took of us yesterday when we were out in the back yard watching the roofer men work. One of the men took time to play ball with me but mom didn't have the camera with her then.

Bijou : I'm not eating a grasshopper. I swear!
Banjo: Yes she is! I can smell it on her breath!

"Stop watching the roofer men and play fetch with me."

"Hey! I can see everything better from up here."

Oopsie! I fell asleep waiting for Mom to throw the ball.

"You love me best right mom?"

Rescue Ink

Rescue Ink is a rescue group unlike any you’ve seen before: a bunch of tattooed, motorcycle-riding tough guys who have joined together to fight animal cruelty, educate abusers and help resolve situations other rescue groups can’t – or won’t – handle themselves.

Some of the guys grew up in the projects, some had their brushes with the law, some used their smarts to survive, even thrive on the streets. But that was then, this is now, and today they all share a common goal: Using every means within the thin boundaries of the law, they persuade and educate abusers about the right way to treat animals.

Like many of the animals they save, the members of Rescue Ink know what it’s like to be given a second chance in life. And they’re using theirs to help the animals, no matter what it takes.

What makes them so effective? Take a look. Would you mess with these guys?

Bang! Thump! Whack!

Furiends, do you remember my post back in June about the ice falling from the sky? If not, you can check it out here. Well because that ice fell from the sky three times this spring and summer, we had to get a new roof for the house. And because our old house had three layers of regular shingles on top a layer of old wood shingles that all had to be removed before the new roof could be put on, replacing the roof has turned out to be more difficult and is taking more time than mom was told it would take. The roofer men started working on Tuesday. They get here as soon as the sun comes up and don't leave until supper time, but they are only half done with the job. Mom is hoping they finish before the rains come. And doggies, you wouldn't believe how much noise these hoomans are making! We can't even go out in our yard to play cause it is a mess! But me and Banjo are kinda getting used to the bangs and thumps overhead and we have given up barking at the roofer men out in the yard cause they just ignore us. There is one good thing about all this though. Mom took time off from her job to be here while the work's being done, so she has been home with us all week. Yippee!

But furiends, I have some sad news to tell ya too. I will not be doing the Diggity Dawg game for awhile cause we need that money to help pay for some other repairs mom wants to do on the house. As soon as all that work is finished, mom says I can start the game again. So I hope you all understand that money is a little tight right now, but we will play the Diggity Dawg game again real soon.

Two Little Puddin' Heads

Yesterday mom was eating one of those pudding snacks so me and Banjo sat and stared at her until she gave us some. She doesn't usually leave us much, but this time there was enough for both of us to get a good taste of the tapioca puddin'. Num-num!

Little brother getting his licks in.

Me waiting patiently for my turn.
(Check out the tongue action!)

Well maybe not so patiently. "Mom he's eating it all!"

My turn again!

You gotta stick your nose all the way to the bottom to get the last little bit.

"Back off little brother, the rest is all mine!"

Banjo is checking for any leftovers.
