Day At The Park: Part 2

I promised to post the rest of the pictures mom took while we were at the park last Sunday. Here they are. The one up above is of me sniffing some pmail.

I hear something ...

Me and Banjo checking to see what made the noise in the tree.

Banjo lost interest in the birds, went looking for a stick and found a BIG one!
Then he saw something interesting...
We went over to find out what it was.

Mom put us up on the strange thing to let us sniff it.

Banjo didn't like being on the strange thing. He was afraid to move. But I had to check it all out.
"Look at me everyone, I'm on the giant toy thing."
Banjo still hadn't moved so mom, put us down on the ground. She said it was time to go home cause Banjo was tired and needed a nap.
"The little runt always ruins everything!"

What A Great Day!

We went on two walks yesterday! The first was just around the neighborhood with mom's SIL and her Chihuahua, Radar. There are no pictures cause mom didn't take the camera along cause she thought she'd have her hands full keeping us under control. This was probably a good thing cause Banjo forgot how to walk on a leash and mom kept having to correct him, when she wasn't carrying the little runt.

The second walk was at Stanton's Lake Park. There were lots of humans there. Some were fishing, others were walking around the lake and a few were just sitting on benches enjoying the sun. The city just put a concrete trail around the lake so there are more humans using the park than before, so us dogs can't run loose now, unless you go there at odd times of the day when no one else is around. Anyway, here are some of the things we saw at the park.

The first thing we saw stopped us in our tracks. Neither me or Banjo had ever before seen humans walking without moving their legs. It was very confusing and amazing at the same time. I guess we weren't the only ones surprised at these strange humans cause everyone else was staring at them too. We just stood and watched them til mom said, "Come on".

We then walked down by the water to see if the ducks were anywhere around. I wasn't too sure about this cause the white ducks are mean and like to chase dogs and humans if they have eggs. But they were out on the water so we just said "hi" and then went on down the trail.

Speaking of eggs.. Look at what mom spotted at the water's edge.

It's a duck egg! One of the girl ducks must have laid it while walking around on the rocks. Weird huh?

Me and Banjo led mom around the lake's edge. She kept stopping to take pictures but we were in a hurry to see what was just up ahead.

It was the brown ducks that are nice. They don't ever chase dogs and humans. They just swim around, real quiet and peaceful. Unlike the big white ducks who make this loud honking noise when they are mad.

So those were the things we saw at the lake yesterday. Mom took lots more pictures of us. I will post the best of them tomorrow.

Mom Bought Us Stuff

Mom went to Wallyworld this morning and came back with lots of groceries and a new toy for me and some new clothes for baby brother. I have plenty of clothes, but Banjo has been growing out of most of his. Mom got these on clearance too!

And this is what happened right before the above picture was taken. I had to get in the picture too! BOL

I think we are going for a walk later with Radar and his mom. We have to wait til it warms up a little more first though. I don't know if mom will take the camera on our walk but if she does, I will post those pictures tomorrow.

Snowy Saturday

I don't like to blog this early in the day cause you never know what the day will bring. But today is so yucky, I seriously doubt it will improve, cause we woke up to snow!

Mom peered out the windows earlier to see if the predicted white stuff had arrived and yep, sure enough it had. I could tell by the look on her face it was not good. We were suppose to go visiting today, but I don't think that will happen now.

Won't be any rolling in the new green grass today!

Even the pond is snow covered.

No naps taken on the swing today either.

Look at these poor daffodils shivering in the cold snow.

What a craptastic day huh? I think I might go back to bed and wake up tomorrow when mom says it is going to be 50 and sunny.

Washed Out Friday

Mom was playing around with the camera today and thought she'd take some black and white pictures of me and Banjo. Maybe this will be the start of a new theme to end each week. It depends on how well these are received.

Banjo's Obsession

I don't know what the attraction is, but Banjo is crazy about leaves. He likes to chew them, chase them and roll in them.

Seriously, I don't get it.
