A Lakeside Walk

Yesterday evening mom asked if we wanted to go bye-bye in the truck. What a silly question. Of course we do!! So we loaded up (mom didn't take a picture of that) and drove to the other end of town to our little lake.

The hoomans were very nice to put a concrete path around the lake.

"Come on, lets go!"

Silly mom had to stop and take a picture of this 'martin house', that's just a bird house to you and me. That grass is about ten feet tall!

These ducks were going away from us and we didn't even bark at them! Want to know why?

They were hoping we wouldn't see their eggs. Isn't that an odd place for a duck to lay eggs? Mom thinks some hooman found the eggs and placed them there.

We went over to one of the fishing benches so mom could sit down and watch the ducks. Me and Banjo sniffed out these Tasty Chips some hooman left for us. But mom said we couldn't eat them. Darn!

Hey let's go see what is sitting up there on that rock!

Oh it's just Mr. Turtle. He must be tired of swimming.

Mom threatened to put us in this old jail if we weren't good doggies.
Mean mommy!!

Me and Banjo sitting on one of the benches in the nearby Arboretum.

It was getting to dark for mom to take more pictures so it was time for us to go home. I hope you enjoyed visiting our little lake.

What a pretty walk you guys had. Mom is afraid to try a double leash with us. We may pull each other in the opposite direction.

That is a nice little lake. Looks like you had a nice walk. Very nice of you not to bark at the ducks.

How nice to have a lake close by, and a momma that takes you to it! The duck eggs seem out of place in that picture, in fact I'm not even sure they look like duck eggs (they are too white) - more like chicken eggs!! I thought Mr. Turtle was really cool - wonder if he'd like to play with me??

Great pictures! Mr. Turtle is soo cute. You better be on your best behavior that jail doesn't look like a place you want to be.

That looked like fun, all except for anything to do with water. Other than that I would love to go to the lake.

Hi furiends,

Yes we are happy to have this lake nearby. It is only a few minutes from home and a fun place to visit.

BTW, I made a new Diggity Dawg Game post at 12:45 today and am wondering why no doggy has tried to guess the answer. Maybe Blogger hasn't posted it for you all yet?

That looks like a fantastic way to spend a Friday evening. What a nice place you have to walk and enjoy all the wildlife! I don't know what we would do if we saw ducks. It looks like you both had a nice time.
