What A Great Day!

We went on two walks yesterday! The first was just around the neighborhood with mom's SIL and her Chihuahua, Radar. There are no pictures cause mom didn't take the camera along cause she thought she'd have her hands full keeping us under control. This was probably a good thing cause Banjo forgot how to walk on a leash and mom kept having to correct him, when she wasn't carrying the little runt.

The second walk was at Stanton's Lake Park. There were lots of humans there. Some were fishing, others were walking around the lake and a few were just sitting on benches enjoying the sun. The city just put a concrete trail around the lake so there are more humans using the park than before, so us dogs can't run loose now, unless you go there at odd times of the day when no one else is around. Anyway, here are some of the things we saw at the park.

The first thing we saw stopped us in our tracks. Neither me or Banjo had ever before seen humans walking without moving their legs. It was very confusing and amazing at the same time. I guess we weren't the only ones surprised at these strange humans cause everyone else was staring at them too. We just stood and watched them til mom said, "Come on".

We then walked down by the water to see if the ducks were anywhere around. I wasn't too sure about this cause the white ducks are mean and like to chase dogs and humans if they have eggs. But they were out on the water so we just said "hi" and then went on down the trail.

Speaking of eggs.. Look at what mom spotted at the water's edge.

It's a duck egg! One of the girl ducks must have laid it while walking around on the rocks. Weird huh?

Me and Banjo led mom around the lake's edge. She kept stopping to take pictures but we were in a hurry to see what was just up ahead.

It was the brown ducks that are nice. They don't ever chase dogs and humans. They just swim around, real quiet and peaceful. Unlike the big white ducks who make this loud honking noise when they are mad.

So those were the things we saw at the lake yesterday. Mom took lots more pictures of us. I will post the best of them tomorrow.

You look so pretty in the last picture, Bij. And I would have been barking my head off at the Segways, probably... I bark at people on bikes a lot.

It looks like you two had a pawsome day! The park is the best...those things the humans are riding remind my mommy of the movie Wall-e where all the humans live in space and ride around in their own hover chairs...BOL..

Sounds like you 2 had a terrific day. And it looks like all the snow melted! You look very spiffy in your sweater too. I'm amazed at those people walking without moving their legs. That must have been really neat.

Timmy, thanks for the award!

Tuffy, I've tried posting on your blog but those "embedded" comment things never work for me. :(

Lola, there was not any duck poop there! Amazing but true. I think some big dogs must have scarfed it all up.

Wags & wiggles,
Bijou
