Ennui

Life has not been very exciting lately. Mom is still not feeling 100% and the weather has turned frigid cold again. Today the sun is shining but mom says it is only 20 degrees. Not nearly warm enough for two little short haired dogs to go out and play.

Here are a two short clips of me and Banjo exploring/playing in the backyard the last time it was warm enough to go out.

Ennui: ahn-wee
Origin: 1660–70; F: boredom enui
displeasure
Noun: a feeling of utter weariness and discontent resulting from satiety or lack of interest; boredom
listlessness, tedium, lassitude, languor.

Same thing going on here, Bij... freezing cold and mom still not feeling great.

We like seeing you guys in the videos you post. Mom also liked the terra cotta sun and wagon wheel. It looks like you have a nice backyard, we're looking forward to seeing pictures of it when it's green, lol.

I posted back on Feb. 1st that it would soon be spring. How wrong I was!

Here's the link to that post. There's a photo of the backyard in summer.

Wow! We went and looked at that post to see the summer yard pics...it is beautiful!!! Mom really likes how you have the old window panels on the fence like that, we might have to look for some. And the fish pond is really neat how it's made of brick!

Mom and dad bought this house last July, and one of the reasons was for the yard. Here is a post mom did in August, you can see why:

It will be a surprise to see what kind of bulbs come up this spring. So far nothing yet...

We haven't seen any frogs at our pond, Bijou. We haven't even seen any snakes here either! Mom thinks it's because we are on top of a big bluff, it's the only thing she can think of, since there were tons of garter snakes at the old house. I loved to catch them, but it made mom sad cuz I usually killed them in doing so. She likes them...

I would love to catch a rabbit, but mostly I want to catch a darn squirrel - they drive me crazy!!!

Cloud
