New Toof Brushes

Mom went shopping Saturday and left me and Banjo home alone.
I was not happy with her cause I could tell it was a nice day and we were stuck in the house. She said she had to get the truck serviced and it had to be done Saturday. Of course Sunday was cold, cloudy, windy and damp. So we had to stay in the house all day. To make things worse, mom came home with these new brushes for cleaning our toofers.

Banjo has to have his toofers brushed cause some of them are yellow and his breath stinks. I have to get mine cleaned so Banjo will think it is fun and will cooperate with mom.

Mom spent $1.00 on these two brushes at the Dollar Tree.
And cause they have Snoopy and paw prints, mom thought we would love them. Yeah, the pink one is mine and the yellow one is Banjo's.

First mom let me sniff the goop she puts on the brush to clean our toofers. She says it is mint flavored.

Banjo watched me closely when I checked out my new brush. He was afraid I was gonna get something yummy to eat and he wouldn't get any.

When mom squeezed some of the goop on my brush I licked it off real fast. It kinda tasted good.

Well not really.
And when mom tried to get me to taste it again I politely refused.

I quietly made my escape when Banjo came over to see if he could taste the minty goop.

Mom showed him his new toof brush and let him taste the goop.

Sadly, I don't have any pictures of mom cleaning Banjo's toofers cause she needed both hands to do it. Banjo liked the taste so much he let her brush all his toofers like a good boy. Now he has fresh minty breath and we don't gag when he breaths on us.

Wow, I would let both of you sleep with your heads on my heating pad. Minty dog-breath. There's a great concept. What's next, carrying a pack of doublemint gum on you at all times for Banjo?

Oh, Bij! What a great post! You had us giggling! I don't like to have my teefers brushed and Mom and Dad still insist on doing it. Matter of fact, I haven't had it done for quite some time. Sorry, but I am going to have to remove this post from my reader so Mom doesn't see it...might give her some crazy ideas. I use a child's toofbrush too.

Dude, brushing your toofs is important. I won't let mom get anywhere near me with any type of toothbrush and I ended up having to get a bunch of teeth pulled.

I am thinking my mom needs to find another kind of goop because the one she uses to brush my toofies is not very tasty!
Glad Banjo liked it!

Oooooh, those are great teef brushies.
You are such good dogs to let Mum clean your teeth like that.
Tell your Mum to try the chicken flavoured toothpaste, you might like that a bit better.
Banjo's teef are looking very pearly white.

Our Mom got the bright idea of trying to brush our toofs, but we quickly stopped that idea....we kept turning our heads so much that toofpaste ended up ALL OVER the place, BOL, BOL!! But she does put something in our drinking water that's not too bad!!

We hope Mom doesn't get another bright idea from your post Bijou :(

Mom does try to do our toofers, but we don't like it, we much prefer a good bone:) You had some great expressions on your face there, Bijou.

Try the poultry-flavored toothpaste - it IS really yummy (I'd just eat it right out of the tube if mom let me). Good thing you mom is brushing - so many doggie pals loosing toofers lately!! That reminds me - haven't brushed yet today!

Great pictures...I don't like having my teeth brushed very much, my toothpaste is the chicken kind...Yumm. Mom feels lucky if she can just brush my tooths a little. You had a good look when you were avoiding the brush.

My challenge is getting the brushing done before they eat the toothpaste! :)

I am not a fan of the minty doggy goo either.....I enjoy the chicken flavored stuff, but Mommy says it does NOTHING for my breath! BOL!

I hope Gramma is not reading this! She is all about smelling good! She buys us these dog biscuits that are supposed to make our teeth clean....... I like that way better than the toothbrush. I won't even talk about clipping my nails!

Banjo looks so cute in that last picture!
Mom is curious - the bully sticks and moo tubes don't get teeth clean enough?

That does not look like fun. No way!

Bijou and Banjo, I just found your site via Yodi. And what great posts you have. My mom has not tried to brush my teeth yet, but I bet I would run 100 miles in the other direction if I saw those toothbrushes, so kudos for you for sniffing them and not running right away! You are both so cute and adorable. Will be coming back and checking on you very soon. Woof! Much Love!
