New ID Tags

Mom went on Etsy and ordered me and Banjo custom ID tags for our new collars. I don't usually wear a collar unless we are away from home, but mom says I have to start wearing it even at home, at least during the daytime. Here are photos of our tags.

Our phone number is on the back. Pat has all kinds of stamps so you can decorate the tag anyway you want. Our tags are only 3/4", so mom couldn't get to fancy with the embellishments. If you need ID tags, and like these, you can get Pat at PatsDesign to make some for you!

Can ya tell I'm bored?

Banjo fell asleep. BOL

Mom is trying to decide if she should spend the $60 each to have us implanted with a microchip so we can be scanned like groceries in case we get lost and can't find our way home. Do any of you doggies have a chip?

Omg.. they are so cute... love them.. I can't believe they charge that much.. I went to the shelter and they were offering them for free.. check your local shelter and see..

very nice tags

NO on the microchip - we researched it - not all shelters have the correct scanner...that is the problem! We were gonna do it and then discovered that our local shelter doesn't have the right scanner to read the chips of the local vets. I don't wear a collar and if I do I don't have tags on it because I just chew on the tags - chewer that I am!!!! Trupanion gives you a tag with a # that they can track you - but if you're like me you wouldn't be wearing the tag - so if I ever get lost - I will just be LOST!!!!!!

pee ess - my vet charges $10 to microchip you!!! your vet is a rip off!!!! Check your shelter to see if they do it - and if they have the right scanner -

Our local Humane Society has a universal scanner but they don't do the implanting. And yes, our local vet clinic charges to much and that is why we don't have the chips yet. Mom refuses to pay that much for it.

First, fantastic dangles!!! My dangle says: My name is Sugar, I am deaf & sweet! Then listed are two cell phone numbers. I also have my county registration tag (it's suppose to ensure I find my family if I'm picked up by the pound) as well as my rabies tag that lists my vet. TOO MANY TAGS! But now I want a fancy tag like you two!

Second, I don't have a chip getting microchipped freaks me out! The next thing you know they will be microchipping our Pawrents! AHHHHHHHH

Hi B & B,
You are two stylin' doggies! Love your new tags.
Thanks for turning my human on to Scruffy Dog Collars; she ordered me one, can't wait to get it!
I got microchipped by my breeders; they do that before with all their puppies before sending them to their forever homes.
You pal,
Sedona

Love the tags, very styling! My mom read an article recently about dogs dying during the chipping procedure. It's very rare, but I guess it does happen.

We all have microchips & a couple of us have tattoos too. Feather actually got lost when she was a baby & her chip got her back home to DawgMom! We believe in microchips 100%!
AKC sells them we think, you could go to the website & check.

hey! we just realized that you are the 2Bs!!!! very very very very very very very very COOL! cuz you know we are the 4Bs and everydog knows that Bs are SPECIAL!!!!

we love your tags and we are gonna go to that place and check them out. we have many collars and our mom is always buying us cool tags for them.

as for the microchip, we say DO IT! that way, if you ever get lost without your ID tag, places can scan you and identify you and bring you home. the AVID chip is the most widely recognized. we agree that $60 is A LOT to pay for chipping. there are special events around here that will do it for $10. you should check around and find a bargain. we think the chip is a good deal though. it's important not to let a B get lost.

woofs!

You guys look fabulous with your new tags, have to go check them out, although I tend to chew on mine when I get bored. I have a micro chip, had it done at our local pet festival.

That little JRT was a royal pain in the ass - I mean he was totally crazy - any dog with that much energy in this heat is C R A Z Y - I didn't figure he was at all related to the 2 of you - well maybe Banjo! BOL

Hi Bijou and Banjo!
Your tags are cool! I think I need one. Putting a microchip is not so popular here in Japan. I might be interested in that...

I would say no to the microchip. My dogs have them but I regret it. I used Homeagain and it took over 10 months to get them into the system. Personally I like dog tags and collars, cheaper and easy to replace.

Plus the needle they inject into the dogs back is really big. I thought my mom (who went with me to the vet) was going to pass out. LOL!
