Work & Play Sunday

Mom has alot of yard work that needs to be done today so we are skipping this Sunday's Featured Doggies post. Mom wore herself out shopping yesterday but we begged for a walk when she got home. She felt so guilty for leaving us home all day that she found the energy to take us out for an hour. Banjo was overly excited to be out on a walk so he was being naughty on the leash. Mom was getting kinda annoyed with him. There wasn't anything I could do, he wouldn't listen to me either.

We are going to play outside while mom works in the yard. Maybe she will take time to get some pictures for my blog.
Have a terrific Sunday!

No Vacation Yet

We were suppose to go on vacation this weekend. But plans changed and mom is leaving us home to go shopping again. Even though today is not as hot as the past week was, mom says it is still too warm for me and Banjo to go with her. She will be going to several stores that don't allow doggies and we can't stay out in the truck this time of year. I hate waiting in the truck anyway, so I'd rather stay home. Mom promises to buy us something when she looks for Bentley and Lexi's presents.

Since there has been so much sadness lately, I wanted to share these cute pictures with you all. I hope they make you smile.

Laska Come Home!

These gold daisies are in our backyard. Each time we pass by them, we say a little prayer that Laska soon finds his way home.

Our 50th Furiend !

On October 21, 2008, I began this blog hoping to find some local doggies who were interested in starting a play group. Banjo wasn't born yet back then, so I was all alone, with no small doggy to play with. Many months later I reached a milestone. My 100th post. But it came and went without even a mention. I became so upset with mom, that she promised to acknowledge my next milestone in a big way.

So today, (one hundred and fifty-four posts later), furiend #50 signed up to follow my blog. Bells and whistles went off. Confetti fell from the sky and mom said, "We have a winner!"

To celebrate the warm and wonderful feeling our furiends give us each and everyday, (and just because it is fun), we are going to go shopping and buy furiend #50 some pressies!

CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS to Tiffany's little munchkins, Bentley and Lexus. You two are so cute. We can't wait to go shopping for you.

Tag!

Our Doxie furiend, Twix, has tagged us to play a game. We are suppose to open our photos folder and select the 6th folder. Then select the 6th photo in that folder and post that photo along with the story behind it on our blog. Then we get to tag five of our furiends to play.

Here is the picture,

This is Banjo and Radar. Radar is a one year old Chihuahua who belongs to mom's brother and sister-in-law. This picture was taken three months ago. Radar had come over for his first visit to our house and we played in the backyard.

We are tagging;

Sugar Is Sweet !

A few weeks ago we sent a package of goodies to our new furiend Sugar. We wanted to welcome her and her mom, Martine, to the DWB family and to the entire dog blogging community. Yesterday that guy in the brown van brought us a terrific package from Martine and Sugar.

The box was taped shut pretty good so we tried to chew holes in the corners.

Mom knew we would be there all day if she didn't help. So out came the scissors and the box was opened for us.

Everything was so pretty and pink! I told Banjo it was all for me since he hates pink.

But mom said that wasn't true. The envelope had, Bijou AND Banjo.

"Okay mom. Whatever."

So while I sniffed around the box, Banjo started pulling things out.

The little runt took off with some wrapping paper and two of the toys!

Mom had him come back over so she could put the "Rad" tie on him. Mom loves it cause it's orange and that is Banjo's color. But just for fun, she put this pink hoodie on him. It was for me, but it's too small. Boo-Hoo! Doesn't he look unhappy? BOL

"Mom you are so mean making me wear this pink shirt!"

Mom didn't want Banjo to be sad so she put the Rad tie back on him. He likes it a whole bunch.

"Don't I look smart wearing this tie?"

And he did look smart. Until I grabbed ahold of it and started dragging him around the room! (No pictures of that though. BOL)

"I don't usually wear jewerly, but I love this ball necklace."

Thanks so much Sugar & Martine! We love the pressies and treats. The card and papers are so pretty. Mom is going to save all of it.

Of course we didn't forget about the treats. Mom left the package open so we helped ourselves to seconds!

"I hope you left some for me!"

The End.
